Asking questions about what is being spewed into the air that is breathed, dumped into the water that is drunk, or absorbed into the food that is eaten has become commonplace. What about your social environment? It has just as much of an impact on your life and in most cases, the effects are more readily felt than those which we consider to be the outside environment.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.leadingedgecoaching.com/articles/2010/1/27/what-instrument-do-you-play-in-the-symphony-of-life.html"><rss:title>What Instrument Do You Play In The Symphony Of Life?</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.leadingedgecoaching.com/articles/2010/1/27/what-instrument-do-you-play-in-the-symphony-of-life.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject>symphony of life</dc:subject>

It is sometimes hard to figure out your place in life. Are you missing your "spark?" The "thing" that makes you want to get up in the morning and sing? Why is that? What is it that's getting in the way?

The answer is probably DRAINS. One of the definitions of a drain is to exhaust physically or emotionally. Does this sound like what you are feeling? Do you lack the energy, drive, or ambition that you would like to have in one or more areas of your life? If so, it's time to recognize where your drains are so they can be properly exorcised.

How do you identify energy drains? They are the things that leave you feeling unfulfilled, depressed, discouraged, exhausted, hopeless, or passionless. They can occur as a result of employment woes, too many demands, educational pursuits, relationships, health issues, or any other thing or person that touches your life. A very important point to remember is that energy drains are incredibly personal and unique.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.leadingedgecoaching.com/articles/2009/9/2/eenie-meenie.html"><rss:title>Eenie, Meenie</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.leadingedgecoaching.com/articles/2009/9/2/eenie-meenie.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject></dc:subject>

By Eva Gregory, CPCC
Have you ever found yourself bored with life, of the “same ol" thing, or the repetition of a job that just does not make your engine rev? Did you know that there are many people plagued with the same challenge? The quest for how to make life more exciting. Surprisingly, the same answer works for those looking for a bit of a change in life, and for those looking to safeguard their lifestyle, in a word – diversity.

Diversification - a word familiar to most successful entrepreneurs; is a rule of thumb for not being caught by surprise. To find many things to invest money in, or different types of services to perform, so that if the bottom falls out of one market, project, or client all is not lost. It is the foundation for “multiple streams of income,” a phrase that has become very popular in the last several years as more and more people search for avenues to make money and build financial security. An example of multiple streams of income is someone who is an actor, a director, a producer, and a writer.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.leadingedgecoaching.com/articles/2009/8/21/down-economy-what-down-economy.html"><rss:title>Down Economy? We are constantly inundated about our “down” economy. With so much focus on what we’re afraid of and given my experience with the Law of Attraction, it is not surprising that so many people are relating to the world right now as scary and unsettled, causing them in reaction to hold tightly to their resources, which only perpetuates the concerns with the economy. There is this crisis-oriented economy—and then there is our own economy and what we choose to create.

The experience of our country’s economic health varies from person to person. For instance, in the midst of this "economy" I had a banner year last year. I am expecting to have another banner year this year. It is clear to me that how I choose to create my present and future will have a direct impact on the results I produce. No question. What is your perception of your present and future and the impact you have on what you attract?

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.leadingedgecoaching.com/articles/2009/8/12/dont-take-it-personally.html"><rss:title>Don't Take it Personally!</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.leadingedgecoaching.com/articles/2009/8/12/dont-take-it-personally.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject></dc:subject>

By Eva Gregory, CPCC
Do you sometimes feel like there is a conspiracy and the whole world is picking on you? Your friends, family, colleagues, even strangers? You know they are really talking about you even though they are making general statements. Who do they think they're kidding? Strangers even seem to be going out of their way to make your day difficult. You've been bumped with shopping carts AND cut off on the road by inconsiderate people. Sound a little familiar? Here is the question - is everyone REALLY out to get you, or is it your own baggage that makes you perceive that everyone has an agenda with your name on it?

Is it possible that people are just carrying on with their lives, and the things that are happening are just - happening? Perhaps people really ARE speaking in generalities, but you are taking it personally? Here's a scenario: Glen is driving home from work in his sleek, low-to-the ground sports car. He's had an incredibly bad day and cannot wait to get home and relax. He is almost near his exit and needs to merge from the middle lane to get to the off ramp. He puts on his signal, sees an opening and starts to go for it when the person behind him jumps right in. Glen is livid! He calls the person a few well-chosen names and stews about it the rest of the way home. Glen knows the person behind him did it on purpose.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.leadingedgecoaching.com/articles/2009/7/31/doing-my-thing-minding-my-own-business.html"><rss:title>Doing MY Thing, Minding MY Own Business</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.leadingedgecoaching.com/articles/2009/7/31/doing-my-thing-minding-my-own-business.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject></dc:subject>

By Eva Gregory, CPCC
Does worrying about what others think of you, or what you are doing cause you anxiety and sleepless nights? Do you tailor your actions or behavior to the opinions of others? If so, then have I found a book title for you! I have not read the book by Terry Cole Whitaker, but when I saw it, it really struck a chord. The title is "What You Think of Me is None of My Business". How cool is that?! Doesn't it make you go, "hmmm"?

Imagine how liberating it would be to adopt this title as your personal motto and put it into practice. Envision yourself looking at the captions on a magazine cover and not caring what the latest expert says is acceptable, fashionable, or tolerable. How about being able to attend this year's holiday parties without caring what colleagues, acquaintances, relatives or friends are thinking about you? Can you feel the self-confidence and positive energy that radiates when you make the decision to let someone else take ownership of their beliefs, ideas, or negativity? Phyllis, Julie and Trevor had to experience it first hand to feel it.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.leadingedgecoaching.com/articles/2009/7/28/do-everything-on-purpose.html"><rss:title>Do Everything - On Purpose</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.leadingedgecoaching.com/articles/2009/7/28/do-everything-on-purpose.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject></dc:subject>

By Eva Gregory, CPCC
Talk seems to be plentiful about "getting real" and "keeping it real" these says. But what exactly does that mean? One of the definitions of the word real is "being or occurring in fact or actuality; not imaginary or ideal." So basically, the talk is about dealing with what actually exists and not putting a happy spin on things. While it is definitely a good idea to know what is going on around you, being real is not the complete solution. Striving for your ideal, your passion, and your purpose -- is. Comprehension of the present situation helps lay the foundation for the ideas that follow, but your present is just that. Dreams are imaginary until you've put action and purpose to them to make them become realities. A goal is nothing more than that until it has been achieved.

How many instances can you recall of people who made incredible contributions to society based upon their acknowledgement of their reality, and their fierce dedication to the pursuit of their passion and desire to change said reality? They weren't afraid to stray from conventions and follow their own course. Think of something on a smaller scale, like Sadie Hawkins Day. Granted this day was created in the comic strips, but it was such a novel idea that it caught on in real life more than half a century ago. It was a huge thing for a female to ask a male out on a date. The creation of such a day alleviated the stigma and made it perfectly fine for a girl to ask a boy out. Think of the possible ripple-effects of such an esteem-building event. Women feeling free enough to take more of an active role. Think of how many lives have been shaped by something that was not real, but an idea conjured up by a writer. On a larger scale, look at the United States. This country was founded by people willing to break free of the norm, willing to embrace their passion and create a new reality. Our forefathers were definitely not lacking in purpose.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.leadingedgecoaching.com/articles/2009/7/21/what-instrument-do-you-play-in-the-symphony-of-life.html"><rss:title>What Instrument Do You Play In The Symphony of Life?</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.leadingedgecoaching.com/articles/2009/7/21/what-instrument-do-you-play-in-the-symphony-of-life.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject></dc:subject>

        By Eva Gregory, CPCC
Maybe you are good with math and spatial skills that make you invaluable in a field like architecture or design.

</rss:item></rdf:RDF>
